Batman 3 (B3) is a 1995 dark/comedic action film directed by Joel Schumacher, written by Lee and Janet Scott Batchler, and produced by Tim Burton and Denise Di Novi.
It's a sequel to Batman Returns and is the third and last installment of the Burton Batman trilogy, with Michael Keaton reprising the role of Bruce Wayne / Batman. Tommy Lee Jones co-stars with Keaton as Harvey Dent/Two-Face, and Nicole Kidman as Chase Meridian. It also stars Robin Williams as Lyle Heckendorf/ The Riddler, and Chris O'Donnell as Dick Grayson / Robin. Danny Elfman returns to score the film.
With the third installment, Schumacher created a dark and bright vision like what Burton did with the first Batman film, and he also wanted to make Batman 3 as a larger than life "living comic book" onscreen, and being different from it's predecessors, stating that he wanted to experiment and try different things, and that he didn't want each installment to be just the same movie.

Set after the events of Batman Returns, it was a stormy night at Arkham Asylum where Dr. Burton was about to check up on Harvey Dent, known as Two-Face, in his cell, only to find out that he escaped.
