Sionis is a 2025 film about a crime lord named Roman Sionis who's life is ruined by another crime lord named "Rupert Thorne". After this, he vows to get revenge of Thorne and a war starts with them both. Roman improves at his profession and becomes "Black Mask". A subplot in this film includes Bruce Wayne doing work as Batman and meeting his allies. This film is an indirect sequel to Cobblepot (2023) and a prequel to upcoming film Falcone.

Plot[]

A man named “Roman Sionis” sits at his desk in his headquarters while watching a news broadcast. Roman himself is white, bald, has a beard and a white suit on. The broadcast shows the huge war at Maroni’s headquarters that happened. He smokes a cigarette and looks angry while doing so. He walks away as the TV is still on. The next scene shows a building named “Janus Cosmetics”. It’s revealed that Roman owns the place. As products are being made, an employee speaks with Roman. He says that his most recent waterproof makeup has been disfiguring some people and that many customers have boycotted the business. Roman is upset to hear this news. Later, Roman is seen apologizing on TV for everything that has happened with his product. The public is divided. Some outright reject his apology while others admire his clear remorse. At the end of the day, Roman goes into the hidden room of his business with a bunch of gangsters at a table. They greet him before Roman makes a speech. Roman expresses how he is jealous of the fame Cobblepot, Falcone and Maroni are getting because of recent news. Though Roman thinks that this empire is powerful, he thinks it is very overshadowed by others. He comes up with an idea. Lately in Gotham, there have been sightings of someone known as “Batman”. He has been beating criminals to a bloody pulp as of late. Roman suggests that they kill him and find out who he is. One of the gangsters states that another mob boss named “Rupert Thorne” is on that goal already. Roman smirks and says that he remembers, but will do it before him. After, Roman comes back to his mansion to his wife “Tiffany Ambrose” and teenage daughter “Circe.” Roman walks in on Tiffany dancing half naked in front of numerous men. The men notice him and look scared. Roman tells them to get out as they pay Tiffany and walk out of the house. Tiffany smiles and kisses Roman. Roman explains his failures as of late, to which his Tiffany tells him not to feel so down and that he can do better. Roman agrees and Circe walks in the room. Circe explains to her family that some students at her school figured out that she is the daughter of a crime boss and a moll. She explains that kids have been teasing him about it. She says the worst of the bullies is Matthew Thorne. Roman goes wide-eyed and says that Matthew is the son of Rupert Thorne, so he is a hypocrite. Circe says that Matthew doesn’t tease her for that, but because he sees Roman as a weakling in organized crime. This is due to his failure of the massacre at Gotham Bank. Roman has a flashback of when Roman and his gang were killed during a bank heist by security guards while trying to rob it. Roman was forced to run away in shame. Circe also tells Roman that Matthew frequently insults Tiffany asking if he can have her for one night. Roman gets angry, knowing what is happening at Circe’s school. Tiffany also remarks on how he is just like his father. Circe also explains that her family has been questioned by reporters due to Roman’s operations and if they are involved in them. Roman feels guilty that his family has been put into this. Roman signs and tells her to do something that will take her mind off of this. She agrees and walks in another room. That night, Roman and Tiffany have a private conversation. Roman explains that he has gotten money from crime and was able to create his business because of it. Tiffany sympathizes with him but says that he has to quit crime for the sake of his daughter. Roman gets mad and asks if she will quit being a moll. Roman says that he is tired of coming home to her sleeping with another man when she’s married. Tiffany angrily questions him on why he is confronting her about this now even though she has been doing it for years. Roman just sighs and apologizes. Roman finally agrees to quit his life of crime and Tiffany agrees to stop being a moll. The next scene shows Roman, Tiffany, Circe and the rest of the Sionis family at a dinner table. Roman and Tiffany announce that they are quitting their occupations much to the delight of the family. Circe thanks them. Roman says that it is best for the safety of the family. The next scene shows Circe walking home from school in an alleyway. A group of people in black trench coats appear. The two teenage boys at the center are Matthew and Bradford Thorne. Matthew has light brown hair, white skin and sideburns. Matthew asks if her mom is gonna come to school to give pleasure to him as the others laugh. Circe gets mad and slaps Matthew. Matthew and his friends chuckle sinisterly. Matthew gets the rest of the gang to keep her down. Matthew says that he will give Circe a job that her mother has. Matthew unzips his pants and strips her. Circe stops struggling when Matthew gives her a punch, knocking her out. Matthew begins to rape her. The rest of the gang begins to cheer. All of the sudden, a dark figure comes flying and takes down Matthew. It stands and we see it’s form. It is Batman. The rest of the gang is visibly scared, but they go after him with knives and nunchucks. Batman beats every single one of them in an intense fight. Matthew sees this and runs without Batman noticing them. When all of the gangsters are beaten, Batman goes to Circe who is now conscious but traumatized. She thanks him and asks who he is. He says that he’s Batman and offers to take her home. Batman also calls the cops to get the unconscious gangsters. Circe puts her clothes back on and leads Batman to her house. Circe thanks her again and goes to tell her father who is home with Batman coming along. Roman asks what’s wrong and Circe hugs and cries on him for a moment. She tearfully explains that Matthew raped her. Roman is furious but then notices Batman and is shocked to see him. Batman explains the story. Roman seems to calm down and goes inside. Circe explains to Batman that Roman isn't very pleased with a vigilante in the streets. Circe thinks to herself and realises that Batman can have Roman arrested due to his criminal activity if he finds out. Roman comes back but with a gun pointed at Batman. Circe tries to hold him back but Roman tells her to stay back. Roman fires the gun, but Batman uses a smoke bomb and dissapears. Roman is confused but goes back on the subject of what happened to her. The next scene shows Roman, Tiffany and Circe sitting on a couch with Circe crying and her parents trying to console her. Roman badly wants retribution for his daughter but knows it’ll start a war with Thorne. Circe just tells Roman to leave it alone. Roman complains that he almost has Batman but he disappeared with one of his gadgets. Tiffany says that he needs to get used to his life without crime. Roman reveals that he sent the records of his crime to the FBI and told them he was quitting the lifestyle. The family decides to have a peaceful night together.

The next scene shows Matthew and his older brother Bradford who is an adult, white, has glasses and black hair. They are with a man whose face isn’t shown. He is speaking about the news that Roman Sionis quit his life of crime. The man is revealed to be their father, Rupert Thorne. Rupert is fat, white, has grey hair and wears a black and white suit with a green vest. Matthew and Bradford mock Sionis for this. Rupert states that this is an opening for them alone to kill Batman. Bradford remembers what happened earlier and tells Rupert about it. Rupert asks why Batman attacked them. Bradford lies and says that they were just hanging out and Batman swooped in and said he knows that he and Matthew are the son of a crime lord. Matthew also apologizes for not being able to kill him due to their lack of weapons. Rupert says that there is no need for apologies. Rupert says that since Roman has quit crime, that it is time to “get rid of a pointless weakling”. Bradford says he doesn’t want to participate in doing so because he thinks it won’t be fun because of how soft he’s gone. Matthew says that he will come with Rupert. Rupert thanks him and they plan to go tomorrow night. Meanwhile, Janus Cosmetics is doing well with their products. Roman’s family is no longer being harassed by reporters. Roman expresses to his family that his new life feels relaxing and normal. The next day, it is night. Rupert and Matthew are in a car at Janus Cosmetics. Rupert tells Matthew that this is where Roman is working. Rupert also shows Matthew a bottle filled with Roman’s waterproof makeup that disfigured peoples faces. Rupert drives to Roman’s mansion. When they get there, Rupert and Matthew bring guns and that waterproof makeup and enter the place. Roman, Tiffany and Circe are doing their own things when they notice Rupert and Matthew. Matthew winks and blows a kiss at Circe to which she grimaces at. Tiffany gets scared and calls Roman. Rupert takes out his gun and shoots Tiffany in the stomach. Circe, extremely angry, goes after Rupert, but he smacks her down. Matthew takes a knife and cuts her face. Roman runs in and sees what just happened. In fury, he attacks Rupert. Rupert punches him in the face. He gets the makeup and reminds Roman of the failure. Roman sweats as Rupert puts it on his face. Roman tries to get up, but Rupert steps on his chest and calls Matthew over. Matthew throws his knife on the floor and comes. Circe is seen with her face cut off, unconscious. Matthew puts some of the make up on Roman’s face as well. Roman gets up and punches Matthew. Matthew hits back several times and uppercuts him as a final move. Rupert and Mattew leave the building and drive away. Later, Roman wakes up and sees the state of his family. He bursts into tears and also breaks things in anger. He looks in the mirror and sees his scarred and burnt looking face. He calls 911 and reports what happened to authorities. Tiffany is confirmed dead but Circe, though in critical condition, could survive. She only needs a surgery to get her a new face. She has surgery, but Circe is still unconscious. Roman is given condolences from the workers at his company and his other family members. The next scene shows Rupert Thorne and his gang at a meeting. Rupert remarks on how getting rid of Sionis was not that hard. Rupert says the only problem left is Batman causing problems for the mob, due to him always being on their tail. So, he plans to have assassins go on nightly patrols. Tonight, he plans to do this by having soldatos act out a shooting at a theater. When the shooting happens, it will get Batman’s attention and when he arrives, the assassins will kill him there. One of Rupert’s men is against killing innocents, only rival gangs he agrees to kill. Rupert says that he wasn’t asking him to go. He just gets up and stabs him in the neck. When the man is on the floor bleeding, Rupert takes a machine gun and finishes the job. Rupert gets some men to do the job and says that he will come too. Later, Rupert and his men walk to the theater along with some assassins hiding, waiting for Batman. Rupert goes to the clerk and shoots him dead with a machine gun. Everyone in the theatre screams and Rupert sends his goons to kill some people. As Rupert starts running, he shoots two security guards coming after him. He manages to escape and wait for Batman to come. Another shot shows Bruce Wayne finding out on a broadcast about the shooting going on at the theater. Bruce is seen putting on his batsuit and getting to the place. The next shot shows Batman gliding to the theater. He attempts to get inside, but is halted by gunshots of Thorne’s assassins. He hides behind a truck as they shoot. When they are done, Batman comes out but they reload. When they all fire, Batman uses a smoke pellet and disappears. When the assassins turn around Batman is seen gliding towards them and knocks them out. However, one assassin tries to shoot him, but Batman takes his gun and bends the tip. The man cowers and is taken down with a final punch. Rupert is scared by this and goes back in his car, driving off. Eventually, Commissioner Gordon and the police get to the theater and attempt to capture the shooters. Batman gets in and uses his grapple gun to get on a gargoyle statue on the wall. A few cops notice the dark flying figure and get nervous. Gordon tells them to calm down when Batman drops a smoke pellet. Gordon, the cops and the shooters get scared. During this, Batman finds and takes out each shooter. The smoke is still strong and the cops finally get a good look at the dark figure. He says: “To Gotham’s criminals, let me introduce myself. I am Batman. Consider this a warning, though I know it’s not going to stop most of you. From this night forward, this city is my cave and the vermin who spread their vice will fall prey to the bat.” After he says that, he disappears along with all of the smoke. When the smoke disappears, the shooters are all seen to be taken out. The cops take them to jail but are concerned about who “Batman” is. The next day, Commissioner Gordon holds a meeting about Batman, saying that he needs to be off the street even though he seems to be well-intentioned. Gordon even repeats what Batman said at the theater, causing some people in the room to shudder. They are unsure about whether he is a man in a costume or a creature. One of the officers tells Gordon that Batman has been scaring many criminals and that it could be a good sign. Gordon doesn’t care and also says that his daughter, Barbara is admiring what he is doing for the city. The next scene has Bruce and Alfred discussing the story on the news.  Alfred expresses disappointment in him getting bad publicity. The statement he said at the theater is being repeated by the public, causing fear in everyone. Bruce is happy because less criminals are going out. He says that his goal is to strike fear into the hearts of criminals and that his job is too dangerous for other people and real cops. Alfred says that one day, he will need help. Bruce rejects this advice and walks away. Alfred reminds him that he has been chosen to make a statement on Batman tonight. Bruce remembers and thanks him.

That night, Roman sits on his couch looking down, watching TV. On TV, it shows Bruce Wayne being asked his thoughts on Batman. He says that Batman has done some good, but it’ll definitely go too far and cause chaos in the city. Roman goes on his phone and listens to messages from people at his company that ask where and how he is. It is revealed that he hasn’t been at work all day. He ignores this and answers a knock on the door. It is one of his employees named “Helen”. Helen expresses concern over Roman’s state. Roman explains that he needs time off from the company. Helen asks why, causing Roman to snap. Roman asks what she thinks and tells her the pain he went through. After this, Roman breaks down into tears and apologizes. Roman just calmly tells her to leave, which she does. On the news, people are talking about how, during the shooting at the theater, they saw Rupert Thorne. Naturally, this led people to come to the conclusion that he was responsible for it. Roman just sighs and ignores this. He goes to bed, trying to get some form of comfort. The next scene shows Roman in his house on a sunny day. He hears a knock on the door, and answers it. It is Rupert Thorne. Roman grabs a machine gun and shoots him when he wakes up. It was a dream. That night, Roman goes for a drive in the dirty and ugly parts of the city. He notices some good looking prostitutes. He sees two that turn him on. One is white with brown hair and the other one is black with purple-dyed hair. Roman drives to them and gives the two of them money. They thank him and come with him in his car. Roman asks if they are grossed out by his face, and they say “no”. Roman tells them that he is lonely and wants a good experience with them. The women sympathize and agree to granting Roman’s wish. They get to his house and they get to know each other. The women seem to like Roman a lot. Later that night, the three of them engage in sexual activity. After, the two prostitutes get paid and leave. Roman feels much better after this experience and plans to do it again. The next day, Roman goes to Rupert’s headquarters and sees Matthew walking to school. Roman follows him with his car and a gun in his pocket. When he sees Matthew go into an alleyway alone, and walks to him. He calls him over, causing Matthew to turn around and go wide-eyed. Roman shoots him in two of his legs. Matthew pleads and apologizes for what he did. He offers him money if he doesn’t kill him. Roman ignores this and slices his face off. He screams on the ground before being shot in the head. Roman runs away and drives to the hospital his daughter is at. Roman walks to her sleeping body and tells her that he killed Matthew Thorne. Roman begins to hope and pray that his daughter wakes up. A few seconds later, Circe wakes up, causing her, including Roman, to burst into tears of joy. Roman hugs Circe and Circe says she heard what Roman said. Roman gives her a mirror to look at her new face. She hates her new artificial looking face. At the end of the day, Roman and Circe come back home. The next day, a proper funeral is held for Tiffany. Everyone in the family expresses how terrible of a loss it is. Back home, Roman finds out that Matthew’s body was found in the alleyway. He is thankful that there are no suspects yet. Later, Rupert Thorne is being interviewed about his son’s death. He desperately wants to know who killed his son. He says that his son was very dear to him. He says that Matthew along with his brother always did good work together. He concludes his statements by saying that whoever killed Matthew will badly regret it. Bradford is also interviewed where we learn he works as a surgeon. Bradford tearfully explains that he and his brother had the best of times together. He states that he was a charming and great man. He also says that he was good with the ladies. Finally, Rupert is asked if the rumors that he was behind the massacre at the theater. Rupert denies this and asks for the reporters to leave. In fear, they do so and Rupert and Bradford are left to mourn. That night, Circe goes out for a walk. On the roof of a building, Batman is brooding. He notices Circe and goes to talk with her. Circe is shocked but greets him. Circe also apologies for her father’s behaviour. Batman accepts it but asks if she is planning to do criminal activity like her father. Circe answers “no” and says that Roman has quit crime. Batman is skeptical over this but says he heard about what happened with Thorne. Circe explains why her face is the way it is and that she wants Thorne captured. Batman also wonders who killed Matthew Thorne. Circe says she doesn’t know. After thinking for a few seconds, Batman comes up with a theory that Roman was responsible. Circe sweats but denounces this theory. Batman grimaces but reluctantly offers Circe to learn how to defend herself. He does this because he sympathizes with her. Circe agrees and goes with Batman. She is worried about her father finding out but Batman assures her that this will be kept a secret. Circe also says that her father is apparently going to be out all night. Batman asks for what, but Circe doesn’t know. Batman visibly grows suspicious but keeps walking with her.

The next scene shows Roman in a bedroom with a woman who is red haired, white, and wearing a black bustier. They are seen to have just engaged in sexual activity. Roman tells her that tonight was fun. Roman expresses how lonely he has been due to what happened, but lying that his daughter died as well. The woman feels sorry for him but says she has to leave. Roman just stares at her and forces her back in the room. Roman demands she stay with him. She gets mad, causing her to punch his face and to follow it up with insulting his looks. Roman briefly chases her and puts her back in the room. She tries to fight back but Roman says she should be happy that she finally found a man she could stick to, that way she won’t be a “whore” anymore. Roman takes a knife and cuts her clothing. She screams as Roman tries to put her down. Roman mockingly tells her that she learned a lesson: don’t have sex with strangers. Roman, annoyed with her struggling, just stops doing what he planned. Instead, Roman picks her up and cuts her hair with a knife. He even cuts parts of her face. Roman throws money at her and tells her to get out of his house. Before that though, the woman is on the floor crying. The woman eventually runs out of the house. Roman just goes to bed in a bad mood. Later, Batman and Circe are seen training in the batcave. Batman compliments her weapon skills. Circe says she has practiced. Batman starts to show Circe around the batcave. Circe is shocked about how many bats he managed to get in and compliments his technology. Batman says that he spent years working on his profession. Alfred walks in as Circe says goodbye and leaves. Alfred asks what was going on and Bruce explains everything. Alfred seems impressed and asks if he will let Circe help him one day. Bruce takes off his mask and says he won’t but he’s training her so that she can defend herself. Alfred questions him due to the fact that she is the daughter of Roman Sionis. Bruce says that he trusts her but not her father. Circe comes home and Roman walks out of his room. Roman asks where she’s been. Circe answers that she was hanging out with friends. Roman doesn’t believe her because of a bruise he sees on her neck. A flashback shows Batman punching Circe’s neck while training when she lost focus. Circe just says that she tripped while fooling around. Roman tells her to just be honest with him. Circe just sighs and makes up a lie. Circe says that some of Rupert Thorne’s men assaulted her. Roman angrily asks who they were. Circe answers that it was Frankie, Orlin, George, Wade and Donnie. Roman asks how she knows the names of the gangsters and Circe says that she’s done research on Thorne’s empire before. Roman asks what Circe thinks he should do. Circe just tells him to leave it alone. Later, Roman goes on some phone calls. He is calling his old goons and tells them that they are doing business again. That night, Roman and his men are seen at their old meeting room. He tells everyone that it is good to see them again. Roman explains what happened to his daughter and gives them the names of the perpetrators. Roman orders that tomorrow night, they have them all severely beaten and brought to him so that he can teach them a lesson. The goons agree with this plan and prepare weapons. A goon warns him that it will escalate the conflict between him and Thorne and that he is very dangerous. Roman says that it’s the plan. The next scene shows Salvatore Maroni out of the hospital and back at his headquarters. He breaks the news that Rupert Thorne is another rival for them to face. Maroni also has plans to get revenge on Penguin and finish the war with Falcone. One of his goons say that Thorne was always in the city doing his criminal activities. Maroni says he’s aware of this but he is becoming more well known as of late. Maroni says that he wants one of his men to hack the TV station to warn Penguin that he is ready to enact his revenge on him. He wants everyone to know that he is back. A goon named  “James” agrees to do it and says that he knows how to hack. Maroni is glad about this and gives him a voice changer to send this message. James goes with other gangsters to the TV station. When they get there, they start shooting to get everyone out of the way, James goes into the control room to hack the TV and kills the people there. James starts hacking and it’s successful. James says that Maroni is back in business and coming for Penguin, Thorne and Falcone. He concludes this by saying Gotham belongs to Maroni.

Roman sees the broadcast and just scoffs at it. At the Iceberg Lounge, Penguin’s apprentice, Ryland Barr tells him about the broadcast. Penguin just smirks and says to prepare for another war.  Another scene shows Carmine Falcone turning off his TV and smiling in a sinister way. Rupert Thorne sees this as well and looks angry. That night, Roman gets his goons to track down Frankie, Orlin, George, Wade and Donnie. The goons get in a big black car, while going around the city. Later, they see the men on the photos Roman gave them  from the big windows, hanging out at a bar with other goons. Roman’s goons go into the bar and shoot some of the goons. The customers at the bar scream as a fight breaks out. Some of Roman’s and Rupert’s men are killed. The main targets are crippled by bullets. Roman’s goons get the victory, take their crippled targets and put them in the trunk. They go to the hidden headquarters of Janus Cosmetics to bring the targets to Roman. Orlin and Donnie have died from blood loss.  Roman is glad to have Rupert’s goons in. He calls them out for assaulting his daughter. They are confused and deny it. Roman gets angry and assaults all of them. Wade even says that they didn’t even know he had a daughter. Roman gets a knife and cuts the face off him. He lets out gurgly screams as one of Roman’s men shoots him. Roman moves on to George and demands the truth out of him. He still denies the accusations. Roman just sighs and gouges his eyes out with the knife before slitting his throat. Frankie desperately screams that they didn’t do it in a weak attempt to save his life. Roman furiously tells him to stop lying. To punish him for lying, he holds his tongue and cuts it off. To make him stop struggling, he gets a strong goon to break his jaw. Frankie screams and Roman successfully cuts his tongue off. Roman takes the tongue and puts it in his pocket. Roman tells his goons to burn the bodies. The next scene shows Roman at a table by himself eating a piece of meat that looks like a tongue. A news report of the bar shooting is on the news, infuriating Rupert due to his men being killed. Rupert discusses this with Bradford. Rupert is positive Roman was behind it due to some of Roman’s men being found dead as well. Rupert also asks Bradford how his dealings of special substances are going. Bradford smiles and says that they are going well. He even shows a video message from a man named “Jonathan Crane” who bought some of the products. He is dressed in a white scientist uniform, has white skin, bald and has a beard. He speaks in a sinister yet soothing way. He smiles and thanks Thorne for this item. He plans to demonstrate it on a distressed looking man on video. He is struggling and screaming as Jonathan walks to him. Jonathan puts on a glove with syringes full of the substance on four fingers. He injects it in the man’s neck as he screams. The man screams again but this time, it looks like he sees something terrifying. Jonathan asks what he sees and he answers that he sees a giant red spider. Jonathan laughs maniacally as he focuses the camera on something else. He reveals other “test subjects” in a glass tank running as if they are running from something dangerous with others cowering in the corner. Jonathan says that when he was given this substance, he developed a gas version of it. Jonathan plans to keep these test subjects forever and that killing them would end “the fun”. That is when the video ends. The scene transitions to Bruce in the batcave watching the video with Alfred. Bruce explains that he has to track down the location of Jonathan’s lab. Alfred wonders how this substance came to be. Bruce looks at the face of the man on the chair. He scans it and it turns out to be “Ferdinand Donahue”, the owner of ACE Chemicals. A while ago, he was arrested for unintentionally creating dangerous chemicals that were used on people with terrible results. Alfred asks what the other chemicals were, but Bruce says that no one knows. Afterwards, Bruce decides to go deeper into this and looks up Ferdinand Donoahue. Bruce comes across a photo of Ferdinand in the same lab as in the video. Bruce comes to the conclusion that Jonathan was in ACE Chemicals the whole time. The next scene shows Jonathan on a phone call with Rupert. Jonathan says that with that video released, he will have Batman here in a heartbeat, pleasing Rupert.

Later, Roman is seen looking at prostitutes. He sees four of them in a group. Roman drives to them, showing off his money. They walk to him and compliment his wealth before going in his car. One of the prostitutes ask if his place is fancy. Roman says “yes” and that all four of them are in for a good night. The scene transitions to the five of them doing sexual activities. Roman says that it was fun, to which the prostitutes agree with. Roman just tells them that they have to stay with him because of his loneliness. They are weirded out and refuse. Roman is visibly angry, so he takes a baseball bat from his closet and knocks all four women out. He forces himself on two of the prostitutes. He gets a knife and kills each one he is finished with. The other two wake up and notice what happened. Roman looks at them, causing them to scream and run away. Roman runs after them all over the mansion. Roman is seen laughing like a maniac with a machete in his hand. He tracks down one of the prostitutes and throws the machete with it landing in her head. The last prostitute notices what happened and sceams. Roman runs to her and strangles her. While doing this, he does sexual things to her. Eventually, she is killed. Roman cleans, hides the bodies and realizes something. Circe hasn’t been home all night. Roman calls Circe three times but he gets no answer. Roman just sighs and goes to bed. The scene transitions to a costume store clerk talking to police about a theft that happened. He says that it was a girl who stole a dark brown cloak. There was also theft of a bow and arrow at a weapon store. The store owner also says that the thief broke the window. The thief is revealed to be Circe who puts on her cloak and looks at her new weapon. It is a silver bow  with black arrows.. On her face, she has dark blue eye circles, wears orange contact lenses and dark purple lipstick. On her jaw, she has black lines looking like a puppet jaw. Later, she witnesses two thugs beating an old lady. Circe, from the rooftop shoots her arrows at their backs. The old lady gets up, kicks the men on the ground and runs away. They get up and look for the person who shot the arrow. Circe sees this and shoots an arrow at one of the thug’s noses. He screams in pain as the other thug starts shooting his gun, missing Circe. This time, Circe comes down and lands on a garbage can that is closed. The thug laughs but Circe stabs his hand with an arrow. After that, Circe gets a small bottle of boiling water she hid in her cloak and pours it on the man’s face. The man’s face boils up as he is left on the ground screaming. Circe runs away without being caught. The same night, Batman goes to ACE Chemicals to find Jonathan. Batman goes inside and looks all over the building. Security catches up to him and Batman is forced to fight them off. When he does so, he finds the lab that Jonathan was in, he finds the victims and attempts to free them. Suddenly, a gas comes into the room. Batman starts to hallucinate. Jonathan walks to him in a gas mask, but Batman sees Joe Chill, the man who killed his parents. He sees them shoot Thomas and Martha Wayne. After that, he screams and punches Jonathan. Jonathan runs away and calls Rupert to inform him that Batman is here. Batman becomes too scared to even fight anymore, so he is on the ground. The camera just fades to black at that moment. Batman wakes up with Rupert Thorne standing next to him. Rupert introduces himself to Batman and admits to being responsible for the shooting at the theater. Rupert says it was to get his attention and he took the bait. Batman says he does this job to take out garbage like him. Rupert also thanks Jonathan Crane for taking Batman to him as Jonathan walks towards Rupert and waves at Batman. Rupert is given brass knuckles by Bradford. Rupert begins to lay a beating on Batman as he has flashbacks of when Penguin beat him up. Rupert gets one punch in before Batman gets up and beats Rupert and Bradford. He notices Jonathan running out and chases after him. However, Batman loses him. The next day, the thugs are found and the burnt thug survives his injuries. Batman goes into the hospital where they are to talk to them, even though the hospital staff have anxiety. Batman asks what the person who gave them the injuries looks like. They describe her and Batman is weirded out. Batman thanks them for the information but lets them know that for their crimes, they will be imprisoned. Back at Wayne Manor, Bruce tells Alfred everything. Alfred is disappointed saying that Batman could have possibly been an inspiration. Bruce says “maybe” but that this vigilante is a little more brutal than him. Back at Roman’s house, Roman is scolding Circe about not letting him know that she was out all night and asking where she was. Circe says it was private. Roman slaps her and tells her to just tell the truth. Circe spits out blood from her mouth and also calls him out for doing crime again due to that news report of the dispute at the bar with his men and Thorne’s. Roman screams at her to stop changing the subject and tell the truth. Circe just calmly walks away from Roman as Roman just sighs and sits on the couch. Later, Roman goes to his basement where a mask that is shaped like a black skull is shown. Roman smiles and puts it on as well as a dark blue suit with a black dress shirt and red tie underneath. He goes to another meeting with his gang and introduces his new persona “Black Mask”. Black Mask’s goons show him the new assassins they hired for his gang. They are all dressed in silver armor and wearing skull masks like Roman’s. Black Mask likes what he sees and checks out their weapons. They have huge katanas and machine guns. That night, Black  Mask sends them to hunt down Batman. The assassins look forward to killing Batman and go out. Batman is out looking for this other vigilante in the street. He sees the figure the men described on another rooftop and chases after her. She runs away as Batman chases her while using his grapple gun. Eventually, he catches her and Batman realizes that it’s Circe. Batman asks why she is out doing this. She says that her new identity is “Shattered Soul”. She says that she wants revenge on Rupert Thorne for killing her mother and attacking her and her father. Batman says that she was too extreme with some criminals. Shattered Soul just dismisses this and asks if she can help Batman tonight on whatever mission he is on. Batman sighs and agrees to let her help only if she doesn’t be too extreme. Shattered Soul agrees and asks what they will be doing. Batman explains how he needs to track down Jonathan Crane and explains the whole case to Shattered Soul. They go around the city and see Black Mask’s assassins coming out of a car. They run towards Batman and Shattered Soul. Some assassins take down Shattered Soul. Batman takes the first few down and goes to Shattered Soul. Shattered Soul gets up and takes down the other assassins. Batman fights the last one and interrogates him. He asks who sent them. He answers that Black Mask did and Batman asks who Black Mask is. He doesn't answer, so Batman knocks him out. After, he is shot in the shoulder by Black Mask who was in the car the whole time. Shattered Soul screams and checks on Batman. Batman tells her to call Alfred, which she does when Batman gives her the phone. At the batcave, Alfred tends to Bruce’s wounds and Shattered Soul gets to meet Alfred. When Batman’s wounds are tended to, he gets up and unmasks himself. Shattered Soul is shocked to know it’s Bruce Wayne. Shattered Soul also reveals to Alfred that she is Circe. Bruce tells Circe that he revealed his identity because he has gained his trust. The two of them shake hands as Alfred smiles. Circe leaves as Bruce says goodbye. Alfred congratulates Bruce on doing this as he thinks it will be the start of something great.

Circe goes back home in costume. Roman notices her and recognizes her from the street. He runs at her and punches her, causing her to kick him in the chest and reveal her secret. Roman is furious about her working with Batman. Circe just tells him that she is lucky she hasn’t turned him in to the police yet. Roman grabs her by the hair and ties her body up. He puts her in the closet with the dead bodies of the prostitutes. She screams as she is put in the closet. Roman chuckles at his daughter’s misery and walks off. Later, Batman goes back to ACE Chemicals to save Jonathan’s victims. He puts a grenade on the door and it explodes, allowing Batman to enter. He goes back to the lab and manages to free all the hostages. They shed tears of joy and thank him. Batman tells them to get out so he can let police know about this. He even steals a few samples of fear gas. The cops come and save the victims. The next day, Jonathan comes back and realizes the door has been destroyed. He runs to his lab and sees that his victims are gone. This causes him to panic because “he has no more play items”. The next scene shows Black Mask and his new assassins going inside Rupert Thorne’s headquarters. Rupert notices them outside with the security cameras and calls his gang to take care of them. They get there and a war breaks out with Black Mask watching. The assassins kill Rupert’s gangsters with some of them surrendering. Black Mask tells them to kill the ones surrendering which they do. However, they leave one alive. His name is said to be “Gord”. Black Mask knocks Gord out with a punch and puts him in his car. Black Mask and his assassins drive off. Afterwards, Rupert comes out and is furious. He calls Bradford, furiously tells him what happened and that he wants to know who the man in the black skull mask is. The next scene shows Gord tied to a chair in his house. Black Mask introduces himself and says that he and his assassins found his personal information. Gord notices one of Black Mask’s goons recording. Gord desperately asks where his wife and son are. Black Mask acts as if he just remembered and calls his assassins. They bring out his wife “Jennifer” and his nine year old son “Gabriel”. Black Mask explains to Gabriel that his dad was very bad and that he is being punished. Black Mask tells his assassins to hold the kid down as he goes to Jennifer and strips her. She struggles and screams but starts getting tired. Black Mask begins to rape her with Gord screaming at him to stop. Black Mask slams her down and cuts her ears off with a machete he borrows from an assassin. Gabriel cries helplessly and watches in pure horror. Black Mask forces Gord to eat the ears with one of the assassins putting a gun to his head. Gord reluctantly does so as Black Mask slowly cuts her in different parts of her body. Black Mask jokingly remarks on how she’s lucky her ears were cut off since her screams can break eardrums. Black Mask gets a lighter and burns her hair off. She runs manically and rolls around. The fire is out and she is completely bald and burned. Black Mask puts her back on the ground and cuts parts of the skin and flesh off. She finally dies when Black Mask guts her and feeds some of it to Gord. Gord cries hysterically and pukes. Black Mask tells the assassins to kill Gabriel and they do so using their guns. Gord looks away and looks at Black Mask with hatred. Black Mask gives him multiple scars on his face. After that, he takes one of the assassin’s guns and shoots his legs. Gord cries in pain as Black Mask and him and his men leave. It’s also revealed that the whole thing was recorded. Later, Gord is sent to the hospital when Thorne’s men find him. He explains everything that happened. He even says that the man sounded like Roman Sionis. Rupert finds this out and says that he has seen the man known as Black Mask. He explains that some of his men were killed by his assassins. That night, Rupert holds a meeting. He offers five hundred thousand dollars to whoever kills Black Mask. He vows to end this war once and for all. However, one man tells Rupert that this is technically all his fault since he along with Matthew terrorized his family. Rupert gives him a death stare, takes a chair and whacks his head with it. The man is dizzy and bleeding. Rupert breaks the chair leg, making a piece with a very sharp end. He stabs the man in the back fifteen times. His spine is broken. Rupert notices this and continues stabbing him. After, Rupert smashes his head with a giant transparent diamond that was hidden in his desk. Rupert takes a deep breath and tells some of his men to get the body out. Rupert also tells the assassins to get out and get on the job. Rupert cleans up and uses a cloth for the diamond. That night, Bruce is seen making bombs with Jonathan’s fear gas while a report about what happened with Gord is on TV. Bruce tries to find out how the substance was made but it says that they are unknown. Later, Bruce sees a clip on TV of a warning from Black Mask’s men. They have hostages that they threaten to kill unless Batman comes for them. The cops are also on this case. Bruce puts on his batsuit and goes to the location. Batman goes into the room where the video was filmed. He notices a few gargoyle statues and uses a grapple gun to get on one. The goons notice something flying around and begin shooting. They run out of bullets and begin to panic. Batman drops a grenade on the ground. It explodes, causing the goons to go flying and fall on the ground. Some are knocked out and Batman takes down the others. However, one of the goons hides and reloads his gun. He starts shooting, but Batman dodges every bullet. The goon runs out of bullets and gets out a knife. Batman breaks his wrist and throws the knife on the ground. The goon is knocked out with a punch. After, Batman finds the hostages and frees them from the rope they are tied up in with a batarang blade. They are fearful at first but Batman assures them that there is nothing to worry about. One woman goes up to Batman and says it’s a shame the media is demonizing him when he’s doing heroic acts. She walks away with the other civilians and Batman is left alone to report what happened to the cops. Batman looks at his phone where it is revealed he has called Circe numerous times with no answer. Batman worries and goes to check on her at Black Mask’s house. This is a perfect opportunity to apprehend Black Mask. Batman silently gets in the house and coincidentally gets in Black Mask’s room. Circe is hard pleading to be led out. Batman opens it and sees Circe trapped. Batman lets her out. Circe tells him everything as Roman walks upstairs with a gun. Roman sees Batman and attempts to shoot when Batman gets a hold of the gun and throws it off the balcony. Circe gets to her father and gives him a beating. Roman is down and Circe along with Batman get out of the house. Batman gets the cops to come to Roman’s house. Roman wakes up and hears the police at his door. He calls his men and tells them to come to his house with guns. They get there and a shootout takes place. The goons and assassins kill the cops. After, Roman is picked up and brought to his headquarters. Black Mask is heartbroken that his daughter betrayed him and is now working with Batman. Black Mask says that he has more important matters like Thorne and Maroni. The next scene shows Bruce and Circe speaking about what happened. Circe says that her relationship with her father is gone now. Bruce says that it is a new chapter for her. Circe recognizes the danger of the job but is willing to do what’s right.

That night, Bruce attends a party with James Gordon, Mayor Sebastian Hady and a martial artist named “Selina Kyle.” They greet each other and have a friendly discussion about their business. When Bruce talks about his accomplishments, Selina Kyle is seen biting her lip and smiling. Selina talks about how she was trained by the greatest martial artists in the world and eventually taught her own class. Afterwards, we are introduced to the district attorney, Harvey Dent. Harvey Dent desperately wants to end the crime war going on and arrest all the crime lords that have arrived. Bruce says that he has done a good job in the justice system. Bruce tells everyone about a new electric car from WayneTech. He aims to limit the world’s pollution with this car. He explains that the sales have been decent. James Gordon and Sebastian Hady are revealed to have the same viewpoints on Batman. Sebastian and James think he should be off the street and that he is a danger. Bruce just sits silently and Selina defends Batman. Selina says Batman does a good job at stopping crime. Harvey says that the law still applies to him but he hopes he doesn’t go down a dark path. Bruce changes the topic and asks who else will be at the party. Harvey answers that a man claiming to have created a path to immortality named “Ra's Al Ghul” is coming. He also tells him that he owns a business named “ShadowScience” and that it makes tools to help do research on many things. Bruce just chuckles and shrugs it off. James says that his technology and other creations have done many things like discover the colors of some certain extinct animals, discovered cures for many diseases, and invented new types of plants. Harvey says that apparently Ra’s Al Ghul has already gained immortality and has lived for five hundred years. After, he comes in wearing a dark grey suit with bodyguards with him. He announces that he recreated “Lazarus”, a chemical that grants anyone immortality. He explains that it will be sold next year. Bruce introduces himself and asks if ACE Chemicals collaborated on it. Ra’s Al Ghul says that they didn’t and that he looks forward to making “a new world”. The audience claps as Ra’s Al Ghul goes to meet Bruce. Bruce expresses how impressed he is with his contributions to science. Ra’s Al Ghul thanks him for the compliments and also thinks he should be a part of his plan to make the world cleaner and better with his environmentally friendly electric cars. Bruce says he will consider it as Ra’s Al Ghul smiles, gives him a ShadowScience card with his number on it and walks away. Later, a slow dance starts and Selina gets Bruce to dance with her. Selina talks to Bruce about a seventeen year old boy she met recently. Bruce asks his name and Selina says his name is “Dick Grayson”. Since Bruce has great skill in martial arts, she wonders if he can train him. Bruce agrees to it and Selina gives him a date and her personal information. Bruce notices some men in black masks and black armor running in the party with machetes. Everyone screams as some people are killed by the men. Bruce runs out to call Alfred to quickly get him the batsuit. Alfred arrives and Bruce puts on the batsuit. Suddenly, Batman takes down one of the men. Batman’s back is sliced by one of the machetes from the assassins. Batman takes the machete away and throws it on the floor and knocks the man out. One of the assassins attacks Ra’s Al Ghul and fights him off with his great skill, impressing Batman. Batman takes out three more, but one assassin barely stabs his leg. The last two assassins are taken out by Ra's Al Ghul. Batman compliments his fighting skill and Ra’s Al Ghul thanks him. Harvey and James go to Batman and tell him that he has to be brought in. Batman disappears with smoke and from the back of Harvey and James, Bruce appears again, saying that he got himself to safety. The next scene has all of the assassins from last night’s incident in court. It is discovered that the assassins work for Black Mask. Harvey Dent suggests that Black Mask needs to be hunted and brought to justice. However, one assassin says that Black Mask sent them because Batman broke into his house and they attacked to get his attention. Harvey says Batman will be dealt with but that he, the other assassins and Black Mask need to be arrested now. Ra’s Al Ghul even says that he was nearly assaulted by the assassins. The judge sentences them to life in prison. An assassin tries to attack Harvey, but he uppercuts him and the police take him and the others away. After, Black Mask finds out and rants about how useless they turned out to be to his gang. While ranting, he uses some of his men as punching bags and even guns some down. On another night, he wants Harvey Dent killed for being one of the prosecutors at the assassin’s court. He also wants Ra’s Al Ghul and James Gordon killed as he also sees them as threats. He talks to an assassin who turns out to be Tiger Shark. Tiger Shark has broken out of prison and refuses to work for Carmine Falcone. He refuses to work for anyone except this one time. Black Mask orders him to kill Harvey Dent, James Gordon, Salvatore Maroni, Carmine Falcone, Rupert Thorne and Penguin. Tiger Shark agrees to it and says he will find a time. Black Mask shakes his hand as he walks away. The next day, Selina introduces Dick Grayson to Bruce. Dick shakes Bruce’s hand politely. Bruce explains to him that Selina asked him to train him. Dick explains that he has been in lots of street fights, but is willing to learn real skills. Bruce says that he admires that but asks why he’s been in street fights. Dick thinks and laughs nervously but tells him not to worry about it. Later, Harvey is at home with his wife “Gilda”. Tiger Shark has tracked them down and gets a flamethrower and burns the house. Harvey and Gilda panic and run out of the house. Tiger Shark tries to shoot Harvey but kills Gilda. However, he shoots Harvey in the shoulder. After, Harvey mourns the loss of Gilda as he is in the hospital bed. Bruce and James send their condolences and wish him well. When they walk out, James talks to Bruce about how he and Selina have gotten along well and if he knows where she is. Bruce says he doesn’t know. James says to Bruce that he overheard a conversation between him and Ra’s Al Ghul. James looks forward to what they will do together. Bruce thanks him and also wishes him luck on catching the man who is responsible for what happened to Harvey and his wife. James expresses curiosity on that matter as well.

That night, James is in his office packing for the day. All of the sudden, he sees a red light and runs out of his office. When that happens, he is followed by bullets while running. Tiger Shark slams the gun on the floor in anger because of this failure. James tells everyone what happened and sends some men to track down the shooter. The cops manage to do so, but when they see him he shoots and takes them all out at once due to a ricochet. The next day, Bruce is seen training Dick but he criticizes him at times due to his anger. Dick apologizes and says that he has a hard time letting go of it due to events of his life. Bruce asks what it is. Dick refuses to talk about it and continues with training. His anger shows even more and Bruce pushes him down and sternly tells him to let his anger go. Dick just punches Bruce and runs off. Selina comes in to ask what’s going on. Bruce explains and asks the reasons for his anger. Selina explains that his parents were killed in an accident during a circus performance. They were called “The Flying Graysons”. Dick lived a tough life after and joined a gang. He has been in fights, stole things and committed other offences. Although Dick is aggressive, he wants to be better. Bruce understands and goes to talk to Dick. Bruce explains to Dick that he knows what it’s like to lose loved ones. He tells the story of when his parents were killed. Dick thinks and tearfully explains that he was never able to express his emotions about his parent’s death. Dick asks how he can get over it. Bruce explains that there will always be a certain amount of pain, but eventually, the scars will heal and he will be able to move on. Dick says he will try that and goes with Bruce to train again. A few weeks later, Harvey is released from the hospital. Harvey drives back home and prepares a funeral for Gilda. At the funeral, Bruce and James are there. Harvey expresses in a furious tone that he wants to murder whoever killed Gilda. Bruce tries to calm him down but Harvey strangles him and tells him that he has no clue how he feels. Bruce pushes him off of him as Harvey growls and looks at the crowd staring. Harvey apologizes and runs out of the funeral. James goes to Bruce and asks if he’s okay. He says he’s fine and that he understands Harvey’s feelings. James heard some stories about Harvey having outbursts at the hospital. Bruce is curious and eventually leaves the funeral. That night, Bruce sees Circe crying in bed and asks what’s wrong. She shows Bruce  a video from Roman on her phone. It’s an angry message saying that she has been disowned due to her actions and that he has no problem killing her. If she is killed, she brings it on herself. Bruce hugs her and apologizes for her having to go through this but that she has picked a better side to be on. Later, Black Mask expresses frustration over having to hide due to a hunt for him in the city. One of his goons says that at least some work is being done. Black Mask agrees but says it still makes him mad. Afterwards, he hears noises coming from the factory outside the room they are in. Him and his goons go out and investigate. They see a woman in an all black zipper latex suit and goggles with small pointy ears. She waves at them as they all charge at her. She takes them all down as Black Mask watches. Black Mask asks who she is but she just kicks him in the ribs, causing him to bang into the wall, and be disoriented for a few seconds. She steals some money and runs out. She goes back home, keeps the money and goes back out again. She sees Batman in an alleyway she goes in. Batman calls her out because of reports being made of a cat burglar being seen in Gotham. She says that he found it out and that her name is “Catwoman”. Batman suggests that she be brought in. Catwoman attacks him and a fight breaks out. All of the sudden, Shattered Soul appears and fights with Catwoman. For a moment, she has her down, but Catwoman gets up and knocks her down. Shattered Soul turns around to find Batman is gone. That morning, Bruce talks to Alfred about last night's events. Bruce is extremely suspicious that Selina Kyle is Catwoman. He says he found her near Janus Cosmetics and fears Black Mask could be after her. Alfred tells Bruce to not forget about the criminal acts Selina has been doing. Bruce agrees but has to save her from possible danger. Alfred also remarks on how he has taken a liking to Circe. To him, she seems kind and willing to do what’s right. Bruce finds this good and tells Alfred about the boy he met, Dick. Bruce also wants to visit Harvey at his new house after the incident to talk with him. Later, Bruce goes to Harvey’s house and Harvey greets him with a smile. He apologizes for what happened and Bruce says it’s fine. Harvey suggests that they go on a fishing trip for today on Ra’s Al Ghul’s advanced ship. Bruce agrees and goes on a drive with Harvey to the destination. They have a peaceful conversation and when the conversation slows down, Bruce secretly texts Alfred to let him know that Harvey hasn’t had an outburst. The next scene shows Bruce, Harvey and Ra’s Al Ghul on a boat with other passengers. Ra’s Al Ghul tells Bruce about an idea he has that they can work on together. He wants to create a machine that can get rid of mental illness. Bruce agrees only on the condition that the machine is safe and no bad side effects kick in. Ra’s Al Ghul says that they will try their best with it. After that talk, Harvey catches and reels in a big fish. That night, the three of them have the fish for dinner at Harvey’s place. During dinner, Harvey expresses that he has been depressed from his loss. Ra’s Al Ghul says that Bruce and he will be there to help him. Harvey asks if they found out who it was that shot Gilda and set his house on fire. Bruce says that nobody knows. After, Bruce and Ra’s Al Ghul leave and wish Harvey well. Outside, they have a conversation about their traumatic pasts. Ra’s Al Ghul talks about growing up as a slave during war and having his parents killed in front of him. Eventually he got a better life and became the ruler of Saudi Arabia. After ruling for years, he moved to Gotham and succeeded in accomplishing great things. Bruce comes up with the idea o put a sop to slavery going on in some places. Ra’s approves and shakes Bruce’s hand. Bruce also tells the story of his parents being murdered. Ra’s Al Ghul gives his sympathy and asks if he wants a tour of his business tomorrow morning to which Bruce agrees. They say goodbye and leave.

The next day, Roman looks at photographs of his wife and begins to miss her. He just scoffs and takes all the photos of Tiffany and Circe as well. He puts them in his backyard and burns them with gasoline and a lighter. He sits on a chair and watches them burn. While they are burning, he puts on his signature mask. Later, he goes to Janus Cosmetics where he holds a meeting with his assassins. He wants to enact a shooting at ShadowScience as killing a city celebrity “Ra’s Al Ghul” would get him recognition. So, Black Mask gets dressed in an all black tuxedo with a black dress shirt, white tie, white coat on top and white fedora with a black stripe. He gets in the car with his assassins and drives to ShadowScience. They get there and Black Mask sends them to wreak havoc. The assassins kill people in the company and destroy property. A few seconds later, Black Mask gets in there and hides himself to get to Ra’s Al Ghul. Ra’s Al Ghul and Bruce notice what’s happening and call the cops. Ra’s Al Ghul manages to fight off the assassins. Black Mask sees this and starts shooting. Ra’s Al Ghul dodges the bullets but Black Mask gets a hold of him. Ra’s Al Ghul pushes him away but Black Mask gets a knife and is about to stab R’s Al Ghul when Bruce intervenes and punches him in the face several times and takes the knife away from him. Black Mask runs off, takes a gun from one of his assassins on the ground and shoots Bruce in the gut. Ra’s Al Ghul goes to check on him and calls 911. The next scene shows Bruce in the hospital with Alfred, Circe, Ra’s Al Ghul, Dick and Selina in there with him. Ra’s Al Ghul explains that the assassins are in court but Black Mask escaped. Bruce is just thankful that he is okay. The others hope that Black Mask is brought to justice. Circe also tearfully states that she is sorry for what her father did. Bruce assures her that there is nothing to be sorry for with Alfred putting his hand on her shoulder. Bruce gives them permission to leave. A few weeks later, Bruce is back home but his injury just has to recover a little more. Alfred says that Circe has been doing Batman’s job in the city. So, the day he comes back, Selina pays him a visit. During dinner, Bruce reveals that he is Batman. Selina is shocked but impressed. Bruce tells her about suspicions he has about her being Catwoman. Selina grimaces and denies this. Bruce tells her to stop lying and that if she continues her criminal activity, he will take her in. Selina just giggles and walks out. Bruce looks behind him and realizes Alfred witnessed the whole thing. Alfred scolds Bruce for revealing he is Batman to a criminal, in case she reveals it to the public. Bruce doubts this and says that he thought she would be honest with him. Alfred questions this due to the fact that he has gotten to know these types of dishonest criminals. He even suggests it might be due to some “personal connections” and that he doesn’t want to face the fact that a person he grew to care about might show their true colors. Bruce just aggressively walks away and goes to bed. Alfred just sighs and cleans the place up. That night, Selina gets dressed as Catwoman and goes to Maroni’s headquarters. Through the window, she sees Maroni pointing a gun at Black Mask. Black Mask however, looks calm. Black Mask is shown to be explaining to Maroni that he grew to like him when he found out about the destruction of Falcone Manor. Black Mask wants to help him capture the people he threatened on the broadcast along with other people he lists. Maroni sees the list, evilly smiles and puts the gun back in his pocket. Maroni makes the deal with him. After, Catwoman breaks the window and gets in. Maroni and Black Mask look for the person who broke in and find her. Maroni laughs but Black Mask says she recognizes her and tells Maroni what happened. Maroni smiles and tells him to stay back. Maroni hits on her and touches her breast. This causes Catwoman to get her whip out and use it on Maroni. Maroni gets his gun out but Catwoman whips it out of his hand and kicks him down the stairs. Black Mask is also whipped, allowing Catwoman to steal some small statues from the place. She puts them in her bag and walks out. She finds Shattered Soul who brings her to the ground and asks where she got those items. Catwoman explains that she got it from Maroni’s. She even saw Black Mask there. Catwoman also asks where Batman has been but Shattered Soul attacks her, causing a fight. Later, Catwoman strangles Shattered Soul with her whip. Shattered Soul escapes the grip but Catwoman kicks her chest and escapes with the statues she stole. Catwoman goes back home and takes a shower. The next day, Black Mask and Maroni decide to go on with their operation. They both get half of their men to do this. First, they go to the Iceberg Lounge. The goons start shooting and destroy the aquariums, killing the animals inside. Penguin and Ryland notice and are captured and beaten by the goons. Maroni tells them to bring the two of them to his headquarters and all the other ones they capture. The next place they go to is Falcone Manor. Black Mask and his men go into Carmine’s office and beat him. Carmine sees Black Mask and recognizes him. Black Mask also explains that his children will come with him. Carmine gets mad and asks what he’s going to do with his children and Black Mask assures him that they will be fine. Black Mask knocks him unconscious with a punch. Maroni’s men are seen beating Sofia and Alberto to a pulp. Mario gets angry and starts shooting some of the goons. He attempts to kill Maroni but he snatches the gun out of his hands and beats him. They are kidnapped with Black Mask and Maroni going to ACE Chemicals. The goons go into Jonathan Crane’s office and he attempts to inject fear toxin in them. However, he is knocked out. Black Mask gets in there and notices a victim pleading for help. Black Mask just shoots him and walks out. Black Mask enthusiastically says that the last stop is Rupert Thorne’s house. Black Mask and Maroni let their men in Rupert’s home. Rupert is attacked and beaten by Black Mask’s men, with Bradford being beaten and kidnapped by Maroni’s men. After all of those kidnappings, Maroni tells Black Mask that he is going to call the news to get them on the bridge where the two of them and the other people they captured will be there. It will be a “little confrontation”. Black Mask says that if it’s gonna happen, he wants Rupert to be standing next to him so he can confront him. Maroni says he will grant his wish.

They both get their men on the bridge to stop cars from moving and it works. Maroni and Black Mask get to the destination and get chairs to tie the kidnapped people up. The news is also here and they film everything going on. Eventually, they wake up and all ask what’s going on. Maroni explains it and unties Rupert. Rupert attempts to attack Maroni and Black Mask but Maroni aims a gun at him. Rupert eventually agrees to speak with Black Mask. Black Mask tells Rupert that he started the war between him. Rupert says that he had gone soft and that it’s good he got back on track. Black Mask somewhat thanks him for that but that he ruined his life. Rupert just chuckles. Black Mask asks if the next thing he says will make him laugh. So, he admits to being the one who killed Matthew. Rupert’s emotions turn into rage. Black Mask says it’s because he raped his daughter. Rupert snaps and says that Circe might have been in the same job as her mother and that she should get used to it. Black Mask also tells Rupert that his daughter has none of his respect. Before he can get into that, Maroni interrupts him and lets the other people talk. Carmine yells at Maroni and promises that he will get what he deserves including Penguin. Penguin asks what he did and Carmine calls him out for betraying him. Penguin also expresses anger over Magpie being killed to which Carmine rolls his eyes at. Carmine also looks at Rupert and goes wide-eyed. Carmine calls him out for shooting him in the back years ago. Rupert laughs and says he remembers. He even recalls the time where his father Gareth Thorne and Vincent Falcone were in a war with one another many years ago. Maroni says that it’s a nice trip down memory lane. He walks to and punches Penguin multiple times for shooting him a while ago. Ryland gets mad at Maroni saying that he has gotten more powerful than Maroni ever could. Maroni punches him and goes to talk to Mario, Sofia and Alberto. Sofia spits in his face, causing him to smack her in the mouth, causing her to bleed. Maroni goes to Alberto and asks what he really thinks of his father. Alberto says that he has started hating his father ever since he visited him at the hospital and got scolded for being a “weak link”. Carmine is shocked to hear this and mad when he sees Maroni patting his back. Mario scolds him for this and Maroni laughs, saying he is just like his father. Maroni also goes to Jonathan and Bradford. Bradford explains that he hasn’t been in his father’s activities but Maroni kicks him in the stomach. He asks Jonathan what he has been doing. Jonathan admits that he has been working with Rupert on capturing Batman. Maroni wants whatever substance he uses in his experiments. Maroni wants to sell it for millions and that he will be paid as well. Jonathan refuses, causing Maroni to beat him. Maroni talks about how interesting this moment is. While this is happening, Batman arrives and is on top of the bridge. Rupert exclaims at him to stop talking and get to the point of what this is all about. Rupert gets out a gun and points it at Black Mask. Black Mask just shrugs it off and tells his assassins that if they are watching this, to kill Rupert for what he did. Rupert tells Black Mask to say goodbye and says he will finally end this war by killing everyone here. Suddenly, an arrow comes down and hits Rupert in the head. Everyone freaks out as Rupert’s body falls off the bridge and lands in the river. Sofia takes out a knife and frees herself and her family. Penguin frees himself along with Ryland. Jonathan and Bradford see knives on the floor and manage to free themselves. Batman is shocked to see this and drops a smoke pellet with fear gas this time. This stops everyone from running. Batman puts on a gas mask and goes down there. Sofia sees Maroni who is shooting from his gun, looking scared. Maroni sees a red dragon monster. Sofia takes a knife and slits Maroni’s throat. Maroni falls to the floor, dead. Sofia screams when she sees a terrifying bat monster, which is actually Batman. She falls to the ground with Carmine getting her out of the smoke. Carmine and the rest of his family run away. Bradford is also seeing the same bat monster which he also runs from. Jonathan is affected by his own creation and is beaten up by the bat monster. Penguin and Ryland are also taken by the bat monster. Black Mask comes behind Batman and stabs him in the back. Batman punches him but Black Mask ends up escaping by stabbing his leg. When the smoke clears Batman sees the dead body of Maroni and wants to find out who killed Rupert. Black Mask sees a hooded figure running on top of the bridge and shoots at it. The hooded figure shoots an arrow at Black Mask’s shoulder. Batman notices this and attempts to chase it down. He fails and goes back home. The cops get to the destination and have Jonathan Crane arrested. However Penguin manages to manipulate the courts into not incarcerating him. Bradford is mourning the loss of his brother back at his home. At Falcone Manor, Carmine completely disowns Alberto and stops talking to him. After Black Mask revealed the murder he commit, the city wants him in prison. The city is also thankful that Rupert Thorne and Salvatore Maroni are dead. Rupert’s body is even found by cops on boats. Bruce speaks with Alfred about everything that happened. Bruce notices Circe and sees her run away. Bruce goes to her and asks what’s wrong. Circe says that nothing is wrong with a fake smile on her face. Bruce doesn’t trust this and asks again. Circe just runs away to her new room. That night, Bruce confronts her privately and asks one more time. He says that she can trust him. After that, Circe bursts into tears while hugging Bruce. Bruce hugs her back and urges her to say what’s wrong. Circe says that she was the hooded figure he was chasing and that she killed Rupert Thorne because of the anger she had when she saw him. Bruce is shocked to hear this. However, Bruce sternly tells her that what she did was wrong but he will not have her arrested only if she doesn’t kill again. Bruce even says that if she takes a life, she is no better than the criminals they stop and if she kills to solve problems, she will be like her father. Circe agrees with his point and promises to never do it again. Later, Black Mask goes to his headquarters and begins a meeting. Black Mask wishes he killed Rupert Thorne. However, he is glad he is being feared by Gotham after his recent crimes. Black Mask says that he has a target in mind: Harvey Dent. The movie ends on that line.
